Afro Pop singer, Yemi Alade, was the main attention when she stormed her Alma-mater alongside other old students of the Victory Group of Schools.
The authorities, staff members and pupils of the school, led by the proprietor of the school, Chief (Dr) Christian Francis Olaniyan received her amidst cheers, as she donated exercise books, cash and organised free medical treatment on eyes and ears for students by the representatives of Maxi Super Audiology centre.
In his remarks, Olaniyan, acknowledged the gesture of the artistes on the Thank You Visit to the school last Wednesday, just as he charged the students to emulate the good example of the music star over her achievement in the industry.
He noted that despite her academic excellence, Yemi Alade discovered her talent in music as a result of hard work and became an international artiste in the music industry.
“Alade, as one of the 2006 best old Students, who later furthered her education at the University of Lagos, ventured into music where she became a star of repute. Sound and good educational background with hard work are stepping stones or yardstick to discover individual talent,” he added.
